Starting from First, you have to follow the marked winter hiking trail past the Bachalpsee to Faulhorn. It takes just over two hours. The wonderful views of the surrounding mountain landscape and the excitement as you contemplate your descent more than make up for the effort. Now it's time to put on your helmet, get in the saddle and head off down the 15-kilometre descent to Grindelwald.
